Nuebu na Nåpu Collection

Nuebu na Nåpu (New Wave in Fino’ CHamoru) is a mini hand painted and dyed collection featured under GUMA’ GELA’ in Pacificus Magazine’s Spring 2021 Issue directed by Robin Uata. These garments center casual streetwear and androgynous expression, while highlighting the ocean and imagery connected to the Marianas Islands and Micronesia. This collection reminds me I am not that far from the tåsi (ocean) because the beating of the waves echo through my being.
